Luciana was born and raised in Rome. Her parent's died when she was a young girl. Not wishing to be a nun, she was raised as a courtesan before becoming a merchant. At the age of 17, she was attacked by a patrol of Borgia Templars after they ransacked a nearby shop. lucky for her, she was saved by Ezio Auditore.

Luciana spent the next several years training along side assassin's such as Erico Miletto and Andros Belorini. She had a romantic relationship with Erico not long after she started training. She was promoted to master assassin in the year 1510. About a year later, she was assigned to leave Rome to assist the French Assassin's guild in the nearby country, forcing her to end her relationship with Erico.

She has not been seen or heard from since, although rumors have it that a couple of members of the thieves guild have seen someone who matches her description scampering over the rooftops.
